One More Reason To Love The Japanese

A couple of years ago one of my future ex-husbands, the divine Hayato Ichihara, starred in a movie called Negative Happy Chainsaw Edge. Bliss.

A Very Short Quiz

Can you identify this man? It's not a recent picture.

Hint: The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

Exhibit "C"

More examples to support my theory that models are the new porn stars, although in Eugen Bauder's defense, I have seen photographs of him in which he's fully clothed.

Who Is Jace Wayland? And Who Will Play Him In The Movie?

I haven't read the trilogy of popular young adult novels by Cassandra Clare known collectively as The Mortal Instruments, but from what I gather, Jace Wayland is the series' Edward Cullen. There's something inherently funny (but sweet) about all the fangirls who endlessly debate and promote their dream casts for their favorite books, because ultimately it's a futile exercise. After all, nobody, and I mean nobody, was pushing for Robert Pattinson in that popular teen vampire movie, but he got the role over a lot of other hotly touted candidates. So even though casting other people's films may not be something I get too worked up over, my interest was piqued when it was recently pointed out to me that if you perform a Google Image search for Jace Wayland, what you find is something akin to consensus (keeping in mind that there is no such thing as consensus on the internet) that the only person who can possibly play the role is a 19-year-old English actor by the name of Alex Pettyfer. Ever heard of him? I'm not fooling myself into believing that Alex will play the part. Although a Mortal Instruments film is rumored to be in development, who knows if or when it will ever be made, whether the producers have any interest in Alex for the part, whether he would even be interested or available. So many variables.

But look at the picture I posted above. Fan art, do you suppose? Some 14-year-old girl with a copy of Poser and a Deviant Art account? No, this was posted at Cassandra Clare's blog. It is the actual cover of the Polish edition of the first book in the trilogy, City of Bones. Now try and tell me that isn't Alex Pettyfer. Go on, I dare ya.

Styles That Might Not Catch On

There will always be someone who thinks kilts are a good idea. I'm not one of them. But putting that aside, what's with the fuzzy jacket? Or three separate, clashing tartans? Or that cap?

William Moseley Makes Me Happy

Every day is a little bit nicer when there are shirtless photos of wonderful William to gaze upon. I understand the feeling of his attractive friend. I'd want to hug him too.

Alex Pettyfer In Japan

I believe these photos were taken when Alex was promoting Stormbreaker (or as it is stupidly known in the USA, Alex Rider: Operation Stormbreaker) in Japan. These photos appeared in the extra-glossy Japanese movie magazine Roadshow. In my never-to-be-contradicted opinion, he looks extra scrumptious in these. The fact that he has an obvious, not-airbushed-out zit on his chin somehow makes me feel better about the world.

Thank God For The French...

...Or rather, thank the deity of your choice for the French people who put together Têtu Magazine for sharing these lovely, oh-so-tasteful nudes of gorgeous model (from Iowa!) Kerry Degman pretending to be a skateboarder. Did I say that models are the new porn stars? Consider this Exhibit "B."

Shirtless Austin Butler! I Repeat, SHIRTLESS AUSTIN BUTLER!

Yesterday this photo of Austin Butler, looking oh-so-cool by the pool, showed up at three places I visit regularly, most notably Loco Luke's Luscious Lads. I usually try not to post the same photos everyone else posts, but in this case I have no choice.

Great Porn Stars of the Past

If I live to be (ahem) thirty five, I'll never forget the first time I saw Johan Paulik as a shy pool boy (who never removed his shirt) in an excellent little "art film" called Sauna Paradiso. Bel Ami had already rocked the porn world with the introduction of the fabulous Lukas Ridgeston and his minions, but Johan was the one who, for a while, turned me into a Bel Ami obsessive. All other smut paled in comparison.

Popularity Contest

As much as I really do try not to pander to my audience and to post only things that are truly of interest to me, I can never resist checking out StatCounter and Google Analytics to learn what people are looking at here, what they are looking for that brought them here, where they come from, and where they went afterwards. One of the more gratifying things I've learned is that the vast majority of people who connect to me through a search engine are looking specifically for this blog and not for specific content on this blog. And also, a lot of my readers don't come through a link or search engine at all, but come here directly.

Some other things I've learned:
1) Sorry Microsoft. Nobody is using Bing. Also, a lot more people seem to be using Firefox than the official market share figures would seem to indicate. (I'm probably the only person who finds that interesting.)
2) The more text a post has, the less popular it is. Nobody, relatively speaking, will be reading this post.
3) The biggest traffic day I've ever had was a day when I didn't post anything.
4) The most visited page on this blog is a post I did about Ed Speleers back in May 2008.
5) The two most popular keywords that lead to this site are "shirtless" and "gay."
6) All of my most popular posts are about actors. The most popular actors I've posted about are Alex Pettyfer, Aaron Johnson, Cody Linley, Ed Speleers and...
7) far the most popular person I have ever had on this site: Austin Butler.

So I leave you then with the lovely Austin. I got these photos from Dreamboats, who got them from AustinBulterFan, who got them from Mikul Photography. It's a big month for the beautiful Butler as he has both a movie and a TV series debuting in the next few weeks.

Model of the Moment

For those who prefer their boys skinny and sweet, and with a hint of lip fuzz, here's a London-based laddie who is known only as Finnian.
