River And A Rant

I have a question I would like to pose to every magazine publisher in the known universe.  Why should I pay for a subscription to your magazine, let's say for the sake of arguement that it's Essential Homme,  if you are going to post every single bit of it online for free before you send the issue out in the mail?  Does it occur to you that this kind of thing might alienate your current subscribers and kill your sales?  Why should anyone pay for your content when you are handing it out for nothing?

Coincidentally,  River Viiperi is the cover boy on the upcoming issue of Essential Homme, and inside the magazine he is as lovely as usual, modeling swimwear.

Hot Bible Reading

I didn't stay up all night to watch the royal wedding, but I did DVR it and watch some of it.  The highlight for me was the Bible reading by dishy little brother James Middleton,  who is more likely to be found running the upscale cake baking company he owns. When he began his readings with the words, "I appeal to you...", my only thoughts were, "You certainly do!" Thank goodness I don't believe in any of this religion business or I'd feel really bad about the fact that the entire time he was reading I was wishing that he was in his skivvies.   Now that would have been a royal wedding worth staying up all night for.  Instead,  we'll just have to settle for this:

New Kids On The Block?

Over at The Fashionisto we have some pretty models, including  a few of my favorites, such as Callum Wilson and Jake Cooper,  not to mention Jacob Young, O’Shea Robertson and Tom Lander,  cuties all, wearing clothes that I would normally suggest might not catch on.  But I won't suggest that,  because I have seen these very outfits at the height of youth fashion in my own lifetime.  In fact, I last saw these very clothes, or something very much like them, on The New Kids On The Block,  circa 1990, and at the time I didn't even think they looked weird.  However, about that furry tank top?  I can't explain that at all.

I'm Not Over My Alex Gardner Crush Just Yet

Despite his failure to catch on with the British public,  Alex Gardner's voice continues to send chills down my spine.  Why in the world was his record company so set on selling him as a male Cheryl Cole when he is so clearly a male Adele? In fact, here he is singing some Adele (Rolling in the Deep, of course) and a few other covers.

Styles That Might Not Catch On

I've a hunch that having a dead mammal perched on your head will be a very big look this year.
