Boy & Dog

An OMG Moment

I've only seen a few photos of Barcelona-based model Daniel Alvarez, but my, oh my, oh my.  I reckon that with a face like that he can achieve any goal he sets for himself in the fashion industry. With a face like that he can rule the world.

Magic Mike Goes Russian

In the immortal words of Lili Von Schtupp, "Is that a ten gallon hat, or are you just enjoying the show?" Magic Mike opens in ten days.

Disney, What Have You Wrought?

The string of insanely beautiful, shirtless Disney boys just got a little bit longer the other day when Billy Unger,  one of the stars of a ridiculous, but apparently quite popular show on Disney XD called Lab Rats, posted this photo on his Twitter account.  "For the ladies," he wrote. As if.  Billy is 16, which is totally legal in the state where I live, but I promise not to lay a hand on him until he's at least 21.

Land Of The Super Twink Strikes Again

No sooner had I seen Sota Fukushi on Loco Luke's very excellent blog, than I knew I had to get on that right away. So to speak.

Tokyo native Sota Fukushi, (or should I say 福士蒼汰 ) who recently celebrated his nineteenth birthday, is one of the stars of Kamen Rider Fourze, and several other TV shows, as well as several Kamen Rider movies. Also,  he is almost inhumanly beautiful.  Not that I notice these things. Longtime readers of this blog know how I feel about pretty Asian boys. I like them.

P.S.  Just in case it comes up in conversation, he has type O blood.

More photos, and quite nice, too, after the jump.

R.I.P. Ann Rutherford

Photo lifted from Deep Dish, the groovy pop culture blog.
Unless you are of a certain age, or like me, a freak,  you probably have no idea who Ann Rutherford was.  During the years she was under contract to M-G-M she was one of the Bennett girls in Pride and Prejudice,  one of Ebeneezer Scrooge's ghosts, and Andy Hardy's steady girlfriend. (The Andy Hardy series was the biggest series of movies of its time, more popular than Twilight, but equally factory-made.) Nowadays, she is best remembered, if she's remembered at all, as Scarlett O'Hara's baby sister.  She died yesterday at age 94.

Below is a scene from Orchestra Wives, in which she starred with Glenn Miller and his OrchestraOrchestra Wives is on nobody's list of the greatest movies ever made, but look at the craft that went into it.  A great song, the swaying crowd, the set design, the long, sustained shots, all combining to tell a story that has nothing to do with the song, and all without dialog. Nobody knows how to do this now.

Not Shy

I'm so glad to see that Nick Roux is not shy.  Nick, who has spent most of his professional acting career on The Disney Channel, is now on a show on ABC Family, (or as I like think of it,  Teen Disney) called Jane By Design.   He is 21 years old.

A Good Cook

This may be one for the pantheon.  Lovely George Cook could be Paddy Mitchell's almost as beautiful brother. Although, in my opinion, he may not quite equal Paddy, who, let's face it, is perfect, there is no denying that George is quite a vision.  Already he has appeared alongside top model Sebastian Sauve in a campaign for Frankie Morello, and has been photographed by some of my favorite photogs, including Cecilie Harris, Pantellis, and Kai Z Feng.  And that's all I know. Any other info about him would be greatly appreciated.

 More after the jump.
